Simon Hall has posted a Video of Quake 2 on the DS in action

Wasn't this already posted in the news when Simon put up the video a month ago? I was hoping this meant progress, but instead it's old news that was already posted on this very site.
I still can't wait to play Q2 on my DS.
I really hope this isn't just a proof of concept project like GBA on the Dreamcast, where it will simply prove that it can be done, but is no where near useable.
If the speed picks up on the other hand, I'll get VERY excited.
Regardless, who ever coded this has proved that he can code at least.![]()
Yes it is just a proof of concept that I hacked together once I got enough donations for a Supercard.
I still can't be sure if the game will run at a decent framerate - but it does run at the same speed as Q1 did when I first got that going (honest), so that's promising! However, Q1 doesn't use slot-2 RAM - which is slow. So this may slow down Q2 too much to be actually playable.
Either way I don't intend to work on it properly until Q1 is finished/nearly finished.
I'm sad!
None the less, AMAZING work Simon!!!!!! Very Amazing!
