Resident Evil 2 + Others now working on psp

I remember when it happened for me.
I woke up as Jill (after Carlos) and went to the park.
I forgot the lockpick and went back to get it, got it and opened the door... it froze.
Loaded it up again, this time remembering the lockpick it still froze.
Maybe that's your problem. You might have to start again with the JAP fix on 3.40 OE, and remember to go through the door first time with the lockpick, open the door and continue. In my experience attempting to go throught the second time fails and lock it like that for some reason.
Also you'd wanna use PSX2PSP to convert to EBOOT's. Works better

It doesn't even open the door for me so I never got as fars as knowing I need the lock pick. I used Simple PopstationGUI, could that be my problem? I've extracted the ISO (BIN) from the EBOOT so do you think recompiling it with PSX2PSP might work?

Also, if you had the crash previously, how did you go back and fix it? Simply restarting on OE? What pops setting?

You could try to use PSX2PSP, and remember to use the JAP codes.

To fix mine I had to restart the game over again. I had it on fast loading and nothing else more to note on that. Thankfully It worked first time and I completed it.
For me it has worked on 3.40 OE and 3.51 or 3.52 M33. You could try using POPSloader too if it still won't work.

I was playing it on 3.52 M33-4 but that's where I ran into the problem. Were you using pops? If so which setting? Because I was playing it on origional from flash... As much information into the process you took to get it to work would be apreciated as I would really like to complete this game (only RE I've never completed).

Ok: use POPSloader and use the 3.40 OE pops instead. Perhaps that will work.

woho! great, I was too lazy to upgrade to 3.71 m33.. now since I know all my great pops wont work.. I wont upgrade at all.. 3.52 m33, the firmware I'm on right now is perfect.. and the best for me.

The only two settings that work with my save file are 3.51 and origional from flash which crashes on both. 3.40 doesn't seem to work at all and hangs before even booting the game. I have the 3.40 prx files, any idea why that setting doesn't work?

Hello all,

Did the pops from 3.71 has more compatibility for psone games that the lower releases?? I will test some games without some universal RE2 code... and check if it the games work...

That's strange, I've never had problems like that before.
Does it work for other games except RE3?
I don't know what it could be, at a guess I'd say it's the prx files.

Yeah it was 3.40.
Start a new game and don't use the save file. Go through again and see if it works.
