Yeah, chui's site hosts DC Fenix.

Does anyone know where you can get the DC version of Fenix so you could develop your own games?

I too am getting into fenix, and so far, this has been the most DC fenix help i've got, which was supplied by atari (the guy who had the DC fenix website, which was lator taken down due to lack of interest), here is more or less what the site was, it has a few pages of html and some guide lines. http://atari.vg-network.com/fenixsite.rar
If you want some help with coding in fenix, this site is very unforgiving, with a total of about maybe 5 people who have actually given it a shot (probably only 1 or 2 are still active [including me]). your best bet is to head over to http://www.gp32x.com/ , they have an active fenix community (fenix on the GP32 / x2 is the same as the DC).
well, I hope that helped you.
what was Atari's site? Ill search the archive.
I think it might of been http://atari.vg-network.com , i'm not 100% about it though.
Here's a backup of Atari's site:

I will soon start converting it into the Dreamcast-Scene.com wiki![]()
It's too bad Chui lost interest in continuing to develop his port. Fenix has come a long way in the past three years (I think it's at version .91 now) and a lot of its bugs have been fixed. Not to mention, he never answers emails. Kinda sad, really. Made me lose a bit of interest in trying to get others on board. The reaction to my game was quite muted, to be polite. It seems no one is interested at all besides you guys.
Fenix is quite flexable, and I was able to pull a lot out of it. Granted, you won't be able to make any 3D games, or anything too complicated. But if you can work around its limitations, you can come up with something playable and fun.
My game is still on hiatus due to work commitments, but I still plan on finishing it. After putting six months into it, the time off from working on the code has given me some breathing room to rethink its direction. Once I return to it, the changes I want to make will go fairly quick. The game was nearly finished anyway (just needed some tie up interface stuff).
If anyone needs any advice with Fenix, feel free to email me and I'll help out with whatever I can, time permitting.

It will be featured on our Fenix Collection soon.
...but yeah, an updated port of Fenix would be great! The last binary Chui released didn't really work too well if I remember correctly (at least backwards compatibility was broken).
It's still a great platform to develop simpler games and there's a nice back catalog of ports using the engine:
