Yahoo has more web traffic than Google

Yahoo's leadership of the internet traffic charts comes as a surprise to some, however, what with all the acquisitions over the last year, it is no surprise that the search engine has come back into the limelight.
The number of startups - mobile or otherwise - taken on by Yahoo is astonishing. Recently, social web browsing company Rockmelt was embraced, before that mobile ad group Admotive slipped into its clutches - and mobile management startup Xobni was drafted in prior to that.
If this hasn't affected the amount of web traffic Yahoo received then God only knows what did.
Also in the line up for most traffic was blogging site Tumblr - placed at 30th - who became a part of the Yahoo umbrella back in May this yearfor a whopping $1.1 billion.
Considering the two companies are under the same roof, if you add the 38,367 million visits to Tumblr onto the 196 million to Yahoo, compared to Google who received just over 192 million, then busybody Yahoo's spending spree has certainly paid off.
