Not that I know of. I am not even going to try it. Bricking a 200 dollar PSP is one thing (which now can't really happen thanks to recovery mode). Bricking a 600 dollars PS3 is another.

I am not willing to try this for the sake of science.

Yeah, but in YDL you cant use the rsx so games dont look that good. snes style works, but dont bother with ps1 or n64 or dreamcast.

i saw that when it was originally posted on playstation's forums, but from the way i read it, it seem s you need the chip installed to do what they describe in the links.

is that true, or does their software allow for access with out any modification to the hardware?
