Wii sync problems

Hi. Have purchased a Wii and i cannot sync the remote. it was working and now i can't seem to get the thing to work..anyone else had similar problems? or does anyone have any ideas for me?

hey, the exact same thing just happened to me, last nigh it was working perfectly and when i turned on the wii today the controller wouldn't work, i've tried syncing it like the manual says a 100 times but it won't work.

Unplug wii, Plug back in wii.

Turn on wii, if the remote doesnt work now (Blue light for whatever controller number is on), hit the sync button in battery compartment, and the one on the wii (in sd card bit)

I have a similar problem syncing a 2nd remote.

As i said in another post a second ago, check that the eye doesn't have gunk / chocolate / syrop on it! If so, rub it clean with mild window cleaner and your thumb.
