    Question PSP 3.11 - 3.40 Security Exploits

Hello, i read the updates on the playstation website, and it never said it changed its security for the firmwares 3.11 - 3.40
Does this mean they have the same exploits?

So will i be able to upgrade to 3.40, and the 3.40 downgrade will be released at the same time as the 3.11 downgrade?

Because i want to play The Socom:FTB2 demo.

    Please reply, Thanks.

If you want to downgrade at some point, do not upgrade further. That would be the best advice I could give.

I'm sure sony don't list every single line of code that is modified for each update.

If you update then a downgrader for 3.11 comes out you'll be rather pissed off.

Its not something you will see anyway. It would not be wise to give some hints about wich version is more secure than another.

Don't ever upgrade for the rest of your life!

Unless of course you want to run cf.

Lol. listen i played the demo on 3.40, it is NOT worth it to even risk losing homebrew for a DAY!
if you are an idiot like many others who is going to ignore our advice then have fun running that 20 sec demo, cause its the only free thing youll be seeing on your psp for a long, long time.

If you're able to run the PSX-PSP images that can be put together via programs like IceTea, then you could run PSX games and homebrew. imbNES is spot-on graphically and sound wise.

That had nothing to do with the topic.

Sure it did. I thought he was looking for ways to play homebrew and other stuff on an otherwise un-homebrew-able PSP. I was giving him another option. Granted, it doesn't allow a downgrade, but it still opens up other options.

Now, however, I realise that I was somehow misinterpreting the direction of the thread. When I made the suggestion, it made sense, but now I see it doesn't. Heh. Sorry for the confusion.
