Convert nintendo stars into wii points?

Is it possible (or ill it ever be) to convert nintendo stars into wii virtual points?

I've amassed quite a few over the years and it would be great to get something decent back (ie convert them into credits for the virtual console downloads).

I really, really doubt it. The best that could happen is Nintendo start selling Wii Points cards in the Stars Catalogue. I sent them an e-mail suggesting this, but they haven't come back to me on it.

Thou I think maybe Nintendo will do something that the Stars points could be used for certain Wii related downloads, I.e: 15,000 Star Points = a single Wii Shop download of users choice

Didn't they accidently put them up as I test item or something, and end up giving them to the people who brought them?

Then they said they were going to do it properly.. but I don't think they did.

I think that was a rumor, but for some reason the Wii Shop and the Stars account thingy is connected? Maybe for future use?
