    Default Extreeme Dc Mod

is it possible to make the DC recognise DVD-R discs, lol It sounds crazy but maybe one day someone will make a kick ass game and a DVD disc WILL be needed to play it on! lol

Short answer no, long answer no. The furthest anyone has gone has been to use a DVD laser to replace the existing DC one, to make the DC accept DVD's would be near impossible, and pointless as no homebrew/emu+roms would ever really need more than 700Mb.
The next best alternative, or even just plain better, is a hard drive for the DC, this has had so much research done by several people. Some managed to build an IDE interface but the transfer rate was far too slow so rendered it useless, also you'd need to write your own drivers as no homebrew would run on it.

No worries!, it's just that I get crazy ideas like that when I've had one too many of the homebrew - the liquid type.
