stop kidding yourself. wii is murdering ps3 in every way.

Its only winning because its so cheap everyone can afford one. I am willing to bet half the Wii owners out there own a PS3 or Xbox360...

ps3 has NOTHING. literally ZERO good games you cant get elsewhere. they screwed up just admit it.

It has plenty of great games out. Resistance, COD3 is good on the PS3, Blazing Angels, Ninja Gaiden. Hell even Super Rub-a-Dub is a great game.

The price tag has nothing to do with how I talk about the console. But then again, maybe it does. Just ask the two other people I know who bought Wiis and wish they bought PS3s instead.

i dont care if you say that you dont like the wii but saying its only good for 5 year olds and that it has nothing solid about it is just simple minded opinion.

EDIT: if you wanna play the same old games on a new overpriced console go ahead but dont insult the alternative because you dont like it.

You're right, I don't like the Wii. I have stated why I don't like it numerous times, but I suppose I will do so again:

-Wii's CPU is only 1.5 times faster than the Gamecube... Way to go Nintendo, make people buy the Gamecube, yet again.

-Wii-mote uses Infrared to paint its location in 3d space. While a good idea on paper, Nintendo implemented it stupidly. One sensor bar? How can you triangulate (which is necessary for discerning how something occupies 3d space) with one sensor bar? You can't. And its evident with misreads and the like.

-Wii bowling and golf, while fun as hell, is also stupidly implemented. Rather than using physics to determine how the ball should strike the pins, it uses a database of measured throws and determines how your throw matches. And the closest match is the outcome... -Making people pay for games they might already own, yet having the ability to play it on the Wii. I still own Super Mario, Legend of Zelda, etc. Yet to play those on the Wii, I'd have to pay for them again... Great. Thanks Nintendo.

-No media playback. Why should anyone let a console that has no ability to play movies (at the least!) take up their valuable TV and shelf space?

Haha, super rub a dub is a game dowloadable off the PSN shop.

IT is awesome, you have to guide little duckies through mazes and stuff using the sixaxis pad and you have to get the duckies into a plughole.

Super Rub a Dub is a game where you control the 'mother rubber duck' and you have to get the rubber ducklings to the exit without falling out of the tub or being eaten by toy sharks.

I already own a PC, in fact 3 of them and 2 laptops. But consoles have traditionally, been better gaming setups for more than 1 person at a time. Can't get split screen gaming on my PC, even though I can get lan gaming, but there is a certain fun factor involved in playing a game split screen that the PC just cannot match.

As much as i like the ideas and the wii is a good blast few times a week i think the wii will suffer once people have had enough of the controlling gimmicks then ninty will have to go back to the traditional control methods then Nintendo wii will have a problem keeping up with MS and Sony due to it's superceded hardware(after all the Wii is only marginally better than the original XBOX).

The only way it will suceed is if it stays out the other 2 consoles way problem is kids will become bored of variations of the same games or sequels,once the kids see a PS3/360 game they can tell the superior graphics(even more so with HD) Kids get tempted lot easier

No, get a 360 Oddly, DMC4, even though originally a PS3 games, looks much better on the 360 (via screenshots)

Don't ask why, all I know is I compared 360 and PS3 graphics in the PS3 vs. 360 thread, and it got "mysteriously" locked, as though someone didn't want any more discussion.
