Yeah seriously, whats the deal with the counterfiet sticks? what do people mean when they say that?
8 gb is awesome.. i dont think i have money for it now..
having 20 emulators with lots of roms, many homebrews and about 10 psx games on my psp would be lovely..
i only have 1 gb memory stick duo.. and can only hold up to 1 psx game and not even more space left for at least a little more neo geo roms.. but i was happy when i got 1 gb memory stick for the first time to play tekken 3/bloody roar 2/duke nukem time to kill on my psp.. but now i just seem to want more.

the stick is fake
it uses cheap quality parts and flash memory and tries to resemble real cards just by using the companies housing
they are unreliable, more prone to data corruption, short flash memory life, and over all poor performance with speeds and loading and writing
and I think its funny how n00bs try to brag that their 4GB $35 stick is way better then retail because they cant admit they were tricked that they bought it from ebay or something >.>
2.80 and above accepts 8gb only
1.5 can go up to 4gb.
what he meant to say was:
only 2.80 and above accepts 8gb
Anyways, $150 is a GREAT deal for 8Gigs. I remember paying $120 for my 1Gig exactly 2 years ago.
I'll wait till it drops to $100 and pick one up - I have an official sandisk 4g and it's awesome. Currently have 6 PS1 games, 3 PSP isos, and a huge selection of console roms (including all CPS1/2 games).
omg... i need one....
my 4gb is full...
filled with music :P
OK, I cannot personally verify the 4GB limit for homebrew. However, I have seen at least two posts in the help forum describing exactly the problem I mentioned. I have also verified for myself that WPA support DOES NOT WORK for 1.5 kernel homebrew.
Let me spell it out:
1.5 kernel homebrew executes under the 1.5 kernel. This means it cannot address upwards of 4GB on memory sticks, nor can it use WPA. Doesn't matter if the VSH can, the homebrew CANNOT.
No one else has posted in these threads offering a solution, other than to make sure that your homebrew and ROMs are written to the first 4GB of the memory stick.
If you can prove me wrong, by all means do so, but I'll wager that I'm correct.
That's not to say this stick is useless. I'd love to have a stick I could ram full of playstation games. However don't expect to have a happy homebrew experience with these sticks, OK?
