I would be careful when buying this, Fry's restocks returned, broken items, so you're very likely to get something bad.

Well, yeah, but as most of the homebrew executes under 1.5 kernel half of that stick will still be inaccessible for homebrew. You have to make sure the homebrew is written to the first 4GB of the stick and I have no idea how you'd do that.

Personally I'd rather have a couple of 4GBs.

It doesn't matter if part of the 1.5 kernel is used in the 3.40 OE firmware. That part won't limit the usage of an 8gb memory stick. And yes this is still way too much to buy. Still a ripoff although it would be quite a luxury.

I'll wait until they increase the size of the memory to something that can hold at least three movies, then I'll move up from my 4GB. I still have a 1GB so I'm set in the homebrew department for now.

I think the price is getting reasonable. I live in Canada and the price of the 8GB MS Pro Duo is $350 (buy about 2 PSPs). I think $100 CAD will be a great price.

Remember the Datel PSP 4GB Hard Drive. I had a friend that bought it. $250 down the drain and a year later the price of the 4GB MS Pro Duo went down about $200 to about $100. Whenever he plays PSP i just laugh at him 'cause the thing is HUGE.
