just got a psp!!! need some help/advice

turn your psp on then go under "game" you should see a icon that says "psp update ver 2.00" if it says 2.60 insted of 2.00 you cant downgrade

it says psp update ver 2.00, but when i click on it it says the system software or your psp is version 3.03. there is no need to update.

ok DONT UPDATE your firmware anyware past 3.03! i would explain the values of downgrading and installing custom firmware but i have to go! someone please tell this guy what he is doing before downgrading and about the risk!

Download the 3.03 update from here:

Then update it.
(Place the EBOOT.PBP file in /PSP/GAME/UPDATE/

Then use this downgrader:
http://dl.qj.net/Downgrader-for-v3.0...2431/catid/114

There should be a readme telling you how to downgrade.

* Note that there is always a risk of bricking during a downgrade, even though it is HIGHLY unlikley. I take no responsibility if you damage your psp in any way.
