    Default Region Map.

I found this interesting pic, I thought I might share it with you guys.

The yellow region is PAL, "They still don't have an official release of chrono trigger"

interesting to see the parts that sort of look like they're saying
"Screw being Pal, I'll be NTSC for some reason"

That map represents television broadcast standards, and has very little to do with videogame regions.

Europe would of always been a seperate videogame region regardless of what video format is the standard, in much the same way Japan and the US are seperate regions even though they both use NTSC.

Yea, it's also a very general map and slightly outdated/more historic, as afaik, the USSR no longer uses SECAM

A good few countries of Europe uses SECAM, my Dreamcast's SCART cable is SECAM for some reason...

...But I bought it from someone off eBay in the Netherlands, some PAL TV's don't even support a SECAM signal the picture comes out black and white like when trying to use a NTSC signaled cable - Luckily I don't have that problem, I think SECAM might be NTSC thou as Japan used to be SECAM and now they're NTSC-J

    So...

...SECAM = NTSC, which means the picture is wrong by the yellow PAL/SECAM section as PAL isn't SECAM so PAL should've had it's own colour!

There is no such broadcast standard as NTSC-J. A japanese and american TV will be using the same signals.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SECAM

Like I said, SECAM has been replaced by PAL
