ps3 Best Linux Variant for PS3?

I was wondering which is the most reccommended by dcemu users... the word around is that gentoo is the best, but have no idea otherwise.

My goal is for speed, apllication compatibility, ease of use, and just overall ergonomic i guess.

Different opinions on aspects involving these would be apreciated ( and not I like yellowdog cause its cool)

I personally use Ubuntu on my PS3, because i am used to using it on my computers, and i like it. It runs fast(ish) but i dont believe it is possible for WiFi on ubuntu as of yet.

I have used yellowdog as well with the WiFi enabled and i was not impress by the performance of the actual OS, it was slow and it was crashing quite alot.

Ubuntu for me, it is hard to get running though.

Ubuntu and Yellowdog are great. Ubuntu is easier to use though. If you can find out the chipset/manufacturer of the wireless, you should be able to find a suitable driver.

If you are just looking to run Windows programs in Linux, Wine should still work on the PS3.
