Any downgrader for 3.40?

I've been reading around online for a bit and it seems that there are currently no downgrade options from 3.40-1.50 am I correct?

Only my friend wants to downgrade his PSP and unfortunately has 3.40. Does anyone know when this may be downgradable?

Nope. Firmwares from 3.10 and up are not downgradable yet. You'll have to wait a while. There won't be a downgrader for those firmwares,for now. At least it haven't been announced.
But keep your eyes open,no one knows when it'll be out.

A modchip?

A modchip is something you install inside of your hardware. It's not software so you have to do it manually.
The modchip adds functionality and new features to your PSP. For example,with a modchip installed,you can play games from another Region,faster cpu speed,and many more stuff. But the best feature,is that you can have two firmwares at the same time.

Just yesterday an exploit was found, which could lead to a downgrader. But it will take some weeks... Just read the frontpage!
