    Default DcLinux

    Can someone please explain to me the advantages of having linux running on Dreamcast? Also any screen shots would be greatly appreciated.

    With this you wouldn't have any problem approaching to Linux in Dreamcast.

    thanks for the links I downloaded linux and burnt the cdi but i guess i need the keyboard to go any further than i got bc it said "dreamcast unstable/ttyl" lol ttyl.

    Ok so the main things I need are a keyboard, mouse and vga adapter right? I priced the keyboard and mouse and its $25 + $10 to ship but the dam vga is expensive! Like
    $20 bucks each.Do you know wear I can get the vga cheaper? Im looking on ebay right now.

    Sure , you will need a Keyboard and a Mouse in case of using XWindow. Also the keybd is very usefull when running emulators in dc.

    Don't wanna start a whole other topic, but i was just wondering can you save code you write in DCLinux to VMU? Is there any way of saving code apart from the RAM or coders cable to PC.

    i think you can save things to whatever path you want, and /pc/ and /vmu/ should both be valid paths.

    as for DClinux, its more of a technical thing than an actual usable product. in theory you could have your own programs on it, but the normal image only comes with a few programs, none of which run fullspeed.

    Alright i am going to change this topic again to sorry you can go on after my question. Is NetBSD any better and what can you do with it.
