Goku really could beat the crap out of Sonic any time. but thats the result of Goku also being able to pretty much destroy anything by blinking. Goku also is fasting then the speed of light, hence SS3. He's even faster SS4.

Still, Sonic's cooler. He earns my vote.

When does it say sonic goes at the speed of light? I thought he was "Moving as fast as the speed of sound".

when sonic uses the rings power he can go at the speed if sound. When he uses the power of the chaos emeralds he turns into super sonic and he can go at the speed of light. I thought that was preatty obvious since hes all glowing and stuff. Hope this anwsers your question snesROX.
