Trouble saving in Uncharted Waters New Horizon using SNES9x TYL V0.4

I am using firmware 1.5 and running SNES9x TYL V0.4 and the game Uncharted waters 2 New Horizons when I try to restore a save game it says the game same is corrupted. This was very familiar when in the old days of getting Koei games to run on my super wild card. I think it needed a patch. Does anyone know how to fix this?

You could try using save states instead. And snes9x has been updated to .42.

Yes that was the only option I had. However the other snes emulator built on zsnes allowed in game saves. Just wondering if there was a work around other than save state.

In game saves usually work. Try exiting via the emulator, and not the home menu.

Tried another game Civilization and the ingame save is not working. Although save state is working via the emulator menu.
