Question: Why is it that everyone believed the overhyped slim PSP rumors when they came out, without any shred of evidence, but then when something with convincing photographic evidence comes out, something with real plausability, everyone cries bull$#@!? What gives, people?
Kinda coincidental about a week after i brick my psp this comes along =] ill just wait about 2 more months to see this released.
REMEMBER PEOPLE 2.6 DOWNGRADER WAS THOUGHT TO BE IMPOSSIBLE =] Dont GIVE UP TRYING TO DO THIS! =] Lol
if that's what you call "convincing photographic evidence" , I suggest you get your driver's license revoked, because you're obviously blind. those "spoiler" shots are bald-faced photoshops, and not very good ones at that. you can see the texture of the battery through the up and down buttons, and on the rest of the buttons, you can see the edges of the rectangular marquee used to copy and paste them.
If you're saying it's impossible to brick a PSP that has custom Firmware, think again. I had 3.40 OE. I was tinkering with some flash files, putting on a new theme and I accidently deleted the wrong folder. I could still access the recovery menu, and I attempted to reflash. But my Recovery EBOOT was corrupted and the flashing errored and now it wont boot. PSP not booting = Brick.
I hope something like this does get out there to save me having to put down $280 AU for a new PSP that may or may not be downgradable.
im pretty sure anything that bypasses security on a device, (or even downgrades to a buggy version) is illegal... like any modchip merchants for xbox wont include Evox, since it allows you to run games off the hdd
so if this device were to be reproduced, it would probably be breaking some law... sony will find some way to strike back at our community, theyve got money, and some damn good lawyers
BTW: with that kind of battery, plus LCD screen, and everything else... i bet this beast would be expensive!
lol.
Why on earth did you run a recovery eboot if you just deleted a prx folder?
- why don't you have a backup in the first place?
Too much haste gains you last place.
-- This is possibly sonys answer to "official" bricks. It is very likely, as said. That the whole process will be illegal if replicated without sony's permission.
Why you would want to pay for a psp (jigkick/jigkick use) if this was produced by a 3rd party. Might aswell get an "old" psp-fat for a little extra?
