psp theme modding No Idea;;;

I downloaded a Death Note PSP theme. I followed the instructions it said to do but my Psp has no changes. This is also the only thing i have ever done to my PSP. Do i need some sort of other software or Firmware for my PSP? Cause it asked me to put some of the folers in Folders that i dont have on my PSP. Example Flash0. I Have No idea what any of this is.. help plaease. Im a real idiot at this untill someone explains it.. And i dont understand Homebrews at all...
