Default .MD files as opposed to.SMD

I'm trying to burn a disc with genplusdc. I can handle creating the disc. The problem I have is all my files are in .MD format and genplus only works with .smd, .gen, .zip, and .bin files. Is there anyway I can convert these .md files into that format?? I'm going crazy here any help would be appreciated!

Im pretty sure most of them are the same format, in my experience you can simply change the file extension to .smd to get the program to recognize the files. Its probably .md for categorization. As in .mega drive.

Wow, I feel like an idiot! I used renamer and changed the file extensions to .smd and it worked. Thanks for the help!
