same here, it seems to auto play on firefox too, kinda gets annoying.

Use Firefox, install FlashBlock.
It turns all flash objects into a placeholder and a little flash symbol you click to load/show the object if you want. You can whitelist whole sites if you want also.
Saves load times and will certainly stop the voices in your computer from telling you to do evil things in languages you don't understand

One of the many reasons I stopped using the AOL software and started logging in to the aol.com/email for my emails, because Joanna Lumney (the woman on the UK version of AOL - or so my girlfriend says???) saying those 3 catchphrases annoys me (especially when I forget and I'm tired)
