First,the PS3 is $500 now. And there's nothing besides the graphical capabilities that outsides the Wii?
Blu-Ray player,Playstation Network,connectivity with the PSP,you can connect whatever you want and it reads it,for example: Cameras,iPods,Hard-drives,Keyboards,Printers,etc...it has Linux,you can play your PS2/PS1 games,and there's no need to download/pay for it. Firmware updates... The Wii handy? What of you come from a hard day of school/work,and want to relax and play some videogames,you won't want to be swinging the controller and throwing punches..
And for the 360..the PS3 has free online service,better graphics,better disc format,better durabilty,oh well...the PS3 is everything..

If it wasn't for sony we wouldn't have the psp to run homebrew on!

But if it wasn't for sony more people would be on homebrew by now!

I agree that there are going to be some good games coming out for PS3, but seriously, not nearly enough for me to spend 600 U.S. (700 CDN) not even close. And besides having Blu-ray, (which was a mistake I might add) The PS3 does not do very much more that the Wii outside the graphical capabilities. They can both surf the web, download games onto them, and both feature a program that let you create a virtual self.
If you want the REAL home entertainment package, get the Wii and the 360, simply because the 360 has a lot of great beautiful games already on it, it's cheaper, and there are way more coming, (halo....) Then for fun that even my 8 year cousin can play, the Wii gets handy. Plus having a slew of worthy games doesn't hurt.

I never looked at it like that, but it makes sense. The Wii is in a, well, game shortage (soon to be out, I hope), but if you get the 360 as well, then you'll never be game-short until the Wii 2.

And for the 360..the PS3 has free online service (Cant argue with free. Of course, when quality comes to mind....)

no, but it has little or nothing to do with their game hardware. Sony uses bad business practices over all, what with cheap exploding batteries, exploitable rootkits, over priced hunks of crap i can get elsewhere cheaper, their ability to push new formats on me, and idiotic PR people. Just like your average giant corporation, sony sucks.
