I wouldn't use Windows Movie Maker if it was the last Movie editor on Earth!

Sorry to go off topic, but I've been very interested in this linux Video editor called Cinelerra. It's open source and of course free. If someone gives it a whirl, let me know what you think.

I've put in about ~48 hours trying to install cinerella in the past, having to compile the 489 other libraries it requires SUCKS! Then when I tried to install the program itself, some error popped up.

I found debs, but it needed an uncalled for amount of other debs in order to be installed, so I dropped it.

    EDIT: Found some repositories.

Once again, let me know what you think when you get it installed. It would be nice to have a free alternative to the usual expensive video editing softwares.

I may try it when I get there tomorrow though.

There is a live cd if you would like to try it out yourself.

I currently have a $#@!ty laptop to work with since my good PC is being used at the work place. My "Good PC" just has a $#@!ty 3 ghz Celeron in it. It seems there are AMD64 binaries for it here. I'll probably end up trying to build a new PC with better hardware and give it a try.

Alright. I used the cd and installed it. Haven't used the editor yet, but it looks a little bit messy.
