and i need a HDMI 1.3 cable to connect my PS3 and finally see how good HD gaming is

They are all relativley the same quality, hardly any difference at all. I got a HDMI to DVI gold plated cable from eBay, the normally retail in PCWorld at £44.99 for a 1.8m one, i got a 5m one for around £11. eBay it i say!

yeah, lower end hdmi cables are all the same.

You get the difference when you get more expencive.. like above said, gold plated is the best way to go.

Samsung HDTV is the way to go

I bought my HDMI cable with my PS3 out of gamestation. It's a really good quality one. Make sure you get a gold plated one and pay no more than £25.

the play.com link doesn't seem to work
They are gold plated connectors, v1.3 compliant and only £9.99...

I guess at such a low price, if i later feel the need to buy more expensive cables i wont have wasted much money.

if anyone has suggestions, with real-world benefits of more expensive cables i would appreciate it. Either way i want the enhanced bandwidth and colours of v1.3. i have noticed alot of cables state resolution only of 720p, 1080i... even monster cables above £80!!!

any sellers info etc would be great. i need to make this purchase tomorrow at the latest.
