How the F did you manage that Darthpaul? thats odd. . . .I had that same issue before where i couldnt access my recovery but my apps did work and stuff so i just downloaded the recovery eboot to launch the menu and now i always keep it on my MS, just in case!

Anyway, I think this app looks promising. . . in time. For now, because i know i'm safe on it. . .I'm going to stick to my 3.40 OE. MAYBE i'll upgrade or get the addons when i hear more positive results. Good work though, cheers.

This firmware was criticized a lot and i don't really have an opinion on it. Has anyone tried this and if so would you please give the pros and cons?

Personally I'm reluctant to flash something from somebody that we're not yet familiar with. Dark Alex spent a lot of time making sure his firmwares didn't damage our PSPs - introducing the recovery mode for example. I think I'll wait a little while before flashing anything else.

Damn ... u brainiacs, don't be so damn suspicious ... didn'T u read the first two pages? There were ppl. who tried it and found it useful!!!

Don't cry like kiddies that this dark Alex is gone ... he was a good coder, but he leaves everyone with NOTHING ... he doesn't even tell us why ... and now there are some ppl. who try to advance his OE firmware and u talk bad about those ppl.

    THAT JUST SUCKS!

Give those ppl a chance. I mean okay, I didn't even trust this Dark Alex guy after many ppl. said his OE Firmware is good. It took a while. But here are ppl. that tried it and still u talk in such a way? JUst stay away and be quiet or give it a try and judge it. But don't comment something u haven'T even tried. Damn hillbillies here ...

To Test30: Thank you for your work. I d/l'ed the file and I'll try it sometime when I have more spare time. Did u implement something like a hash check to verify that the files are correctly downloaded in order to guarantee a proper flash? I think that's essential. I trust u since some ppl. flashed w/o any problems. But I do NOT trust my own hard drive a lot of CRC errors once in a while ...

Who the hell said anything about pirating, noob.
The last time I've had to carry umd's around with me was about a year ago, when I had official firmware. Plus, with dsl, I wouldn't think of downloading 100MB+ files.
Anyways, look at all the people with broken umd drives. It would be very useful for them to.
