A Noob needs help! If Possible

I have a question. I am reading alot on these forums and I can't seem to find my answer. I would love to use the PSPAtari, PSP2600 and PSPColEm, but it seems like when I go to run it, I get a black screen then the PSP shuts down.

I suggest you to downgrade to 1.5, and to install a custom firmware (3.40-OE for example). It's much more convenient, and all those homebrew work fine on it (using the 1.5fw version).

I guess the other question would be is would downgrading effect the games I have right now? If so, can this be reversed?

it wont effect anything, all homebrew will work with just a little tweaking, and yes the upgrading process is very simple
