Ok but the switch dosnt hook into anything, what do i connect it to?

lol. it's just a switch not overly complicated
As for using a DVD remote, you may as well just buy one of those DC-VCD remotes from liksang.com and then wire it onto the controller board to be internal.

Out of an old 14" VGA monitor, but with a tray between the screen and pad ports.

I get no satisfaction out of doing a mod with a tutorial/help, its much mroe fun to try and figure it out for yourself.
I can post pics of mine, but it was never mounted in a case, just a CD-ROM box with a GD-ROM laser assembly in it, and no circuit to control the eject.
