OK, after a little more investigation I have found the following.....
1: CXMB.PRX will allow you to have the same functionality as before i.e custom icons, gameboots, sounds etc BUT if you use this prx you WILL NOT be able to use USB from the XMB, if you dissable CXMB.PRX then the usb works fine.

2: You can still flash all of yout topmenu's etc to FLash 0 and they work fine( well, all the ones I have tried so far)

3: you have 1.06 mb of free space after install, so more than a normal OE install, which is good

yeah, do it from game150, and you should be fine, (remember, just be patient, flashing the update to the memstick may take a lot of time)

Where did you get cxmb.prx? Is it in the flash if you install 3.51 M33?

Well it took me almost a year before i made the leap to 3.40OE from 1.50. I'll give this one a week before i take the plunge to the latest "Glasnost" edition . Cheers comrades! Nice Work!!

The group that released this new Custom firmware stated that they spent alot of time reverse engineering the OE Custom firmware.

Taco: its a custom prx that allows you to run gameboots etc from memory stick instead of from the Flash 0, meaning you can hacve larger ones
