Squeaky D-Pad

Recently my PSP's D-Pad started to make squeaking sounds whenever I use it, it still works fine but its really annoying. I've thought about opening it up and cleaning it but its still under warranty that I dont wanna void.

I read somewhere on the net about oiling it slightly but to me that doesn't sound like the best idea...

Any better ideas?

Make sure the faceplate is tightly on!
