What the real point of no-umd unless your umd drive is broken? Even if you don't want to use any of your game's umds you can just stick a demo disc in the drive and everything will work fine.

Hmm ok..

Just upgraded n tried Xenogears.. doesn't seem to work get a black screen ... used to be able to play it before on 3.4 OE-A.. Will try some other Games...

I'm confused on one thing though, should we keep using the Sony UMD mode for now or should we use the M33 one, which is faster/better battery life now? You said it imitates it so I'm just unclear on which one is better now, I think your trying to say that the M33 one will be better in the future. Anyway though I'm loving the brightness level for homebrew, was always curious to why that wasn't in the OE's.
