A port of the Game Boy Advance emulator <a href="http://vba.ngemu.com/" target="_blank" >Visual Boy Advance</a> has been released on the PSP by a Japanese Coder via the PSP Wiki site, the emulator has no Sound and Plays rather slow, it also can load roms up to 16 mb in size. hmmmm.....I can't get this to work .....it just goes straight back to the psp home screen when I start it up (yes, I used mswap and all that...I've gotten at least 4 other emulators working ...)

Edit: nvm, just forgot to change the folder's name to VBAPSP :P

I'm here trying it out at work (used the gba game I am working on atm).

It's great. It takes up the full vertical section of the screen & it looks amazing.

I can't wait to see the src or an optimised version soon. I wonder if it's doing 333 yet or not.

    --edit--

Note the rom must go "PSP/GAMES/VBAPSP/ROM.GBA"

nintendo holds a patent on emulation of the gba. so this is technically as illegal as roms =\

    UPDATE--

Ars a member of <a href="http://forums.emufanatics.com/showthread.php?p=4420" target="_blank" >Emufanatics Forums</a> has posted some info about where this mysterious release originated:

<BLOCKQUOTE>The GBA emulator for PSP eventually was released!

First,I want to say my English is poor...as the author's Chinese is poor, too

    Original thread(IN chinese):
    http://bbs.emu-zone.org/showthread.php?t=296995
Please download the zipfile at the top.

    Simple tanslation:
    It's VBA's ported to PSP...The work is hard-_-b.
It's graph is done, but still a lot of bugs.
    No sound.No save,either.
Please rename the romfile "rom.gba" and put it in the same folder of EBOOT.PBP.Otherwise it won't work

×=B;○=A;The other keys are all right...

The size of romfile must be under 16MB...
And PSP may hung up when loading romfile is failed or emulator is initializeng, please be careful after all.

The author is a japanese, but he released the emulator in a chinese forum...
So,I found the international cooperation in the emu field is quite interesting.
As an average emu player,I should do some thing what I can do--bring the news form the east for you.</BLOCKQUOTE>
