uhhhh arent all these emulators for the psp ports? gens is, snes9x is, nesterj is, they run great so i dont think because its a port from the pc would that stop them from making a great gameboy advance emu for the psp.
well, its might about equal in the "graphics" but the system hardware and architecture are much harder to emulate properly, plus i think the vba was simply a port of an existing emulator for the PC, which would make it run pretty unplayably as opposed to emulators built from the ground up specifically for the psp

Because the few that started as ports and are now have been optimized with different pieces of code that there barely the original anymore. the only real port I can think of Is UO SNES and despite being the best snes emulator still runs like crap in the face of Rin and PSP Genesis.Originally Posted by trew01
what the big K said, plus th fact that your porting software that supports a certain type of hardware to somthing completely differant.Originally Posted by trew01
look at it this way.
you loose a little speed in emulation when you move from one type of hardware to the software emulation right?
well imagine stripping away that emulators platform and putting it on somthing completely differant.
hardware -> emulation on one platform that supports a type of hardware -> a new platform with differant hardware. Ports may take less time then creating somthing from the ground up... but as the software must be optimized to support a differant type of hardware it could take a while to give it half assed optimizations. It may never be done as sometimes the jobs may be very complexed. People get frusterated and they quit.
The point was, just because there are open sourced emulators for windows does not mean its a simple matter of putting them on the PSP.
That's funny.Originally Posted by Kaiser
If you know how to set the settings the Snes emu is running at 100%.
This is the first one ever to rum Super Mario RPG.
No copier could ever get that game to run.
Take your snes Emu
set it to 333
Frame Skip 2
Full screen BL
I have some copiers and this Uno Snes is at 100%
do u need firmware 1.0 to use b/c i got 2.0 and it says the file is corrupted
Peter, you need firmware 1.0 or 1.5 to run homebrew, this has been covered a thousand and one times.
