    Default Sony Return Policy (?)

    Hey,

    Just asking if anyone knows much about the Sony return policy before I go and waste time dealing with one of their phone operators. I received a PSP as a gift for Xmas last year (December 06) and recently had some button failure on my PSP (start button/volume controls). Sadly, I don't have a receipt, though I do have all the original packaging. Is there any chance that they will fix this or even for some small fee?

    Thanks for any help..

    By 'small', I hope you mean 'about half the price of the PSP'. ^_^; Unfortunately, since you can't prove when you got it, odds are you're not covered. Sorry. Getting them to repair it is also generally pretty expensive, as first party repair services kinda suck. I could be utterly wrong, though, and you can try it. I'd expect the repair to cost at LEAST $50, probably more like $75+, since they'll tack on a 'diagnostic fee' and other things. Could exceed $100. ^^;
