This is a very good thing, maybe it will be possible to play some of the few games that got released for the 64 DD now, well at some point in the future, maybe even get some support for it built into Daedalus if StrmnNrmn has time![]()
Nintendo 64DD Emulation may soon be a reality!
kammedo of ASSEMblergames has pulled out some awesome & obscure Nintendo 64 development hardware that can potentially dump Nintendo 64DD cartridges. It has been very difficult to begin any Nintendo 64DD emulation, especially since there aren't any ROM Images dumped. With the development suite kammedo has: a Partner Nintendo 64 unit, PC Interface Card, RAM cartridge & cable, and a Nintendo 64DD Development Unit, it is now possible to dump Nintendo 64DD development or retail carts, but don't go around asking for dumps!

thanks for the news![]()
Oh yeah, seen this at ASSEMbler forums, great news![]()
secret message!
I used to have a signature here.
Surely it's not the best idea in the world to go shouting around that you are doing dumps of cartridges?
Cool hardware though, puts my HK Famicom with disk drive to shame.
Oh good! More abandonware!
Just a reminder, ROM dumps are legal in Hong Kong.![]()
I really don't think Nintendo is going to care too much about N64DD dumps since the project was a failure from the start. Hopefully this will be added into project64 some day.
Correct me if I am wrong, but weren't all of the N64DD games only released in Japanese. Personally I hate playing games where I can't understand what the text is saying.
This is quite a breakthrough. All we need now is DS compatibility.
That's quite a breakthrough, but its a pity there weren't many good titles for the 64DD as most were scrapped during production.
The N64 with the DD on it looks like something that'd eat your babies if it had the chance...
