    Well, DS is actually for "Developer System".

    And back to the motion sensing, it's the Pokemon Mini. The little pokemon only game-system/handheld from nintendo, which featured ALL those motion sensors, and is VERY similar in design/scale to the drawings on the patents.

    It's an old system, and I think it's an old patent thats been dragged up.

    Motion sensing handheld? Unlikely... And the new "slide controller" doesn't fit either, as it's missing one of the axis from the patent.

    i don't really see any need, nintendo could easily craft this into a gba cart and let it interact with a ds game or something...

    i reckon this is an old patent, and it is a bit early, the ds is no where near the end of it's life (the ps3 would probably die before the ds does)
