Konami's latest Winning Eleven title has shot to the top of the Japanese charts on it first week of release, according to the latest data from Media Create.
J-League Winning Eleven 2007: Club Championship for the PlayStation 2 has sold 150,000 units for the week ended September 5.
Nintendo's Mario Party 8 sold 135,000 units during the same period, while Sony's PlayStation 3 title Hot Shots Golf 5 managed 64,000 units, although it's the only PS3 title in the top thirty.
There are a total of five Nintendo DS titles in the top ten, including The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass at five and Face Training DS, a new entry at eight.
The top ten best-selling games in Japan for the week ended September 5, follow:
