Final Fantasy VII goes beserk

So, I understand that this might be a common problem, but when I play FFVII and get to a point in the game where an enemy uses a sleep attack against me, the game goes beserk and I get a scrambled green screen.

However, I have not found a common solution to this problem. I'm running 3.40 OE-A. Anyone have an idea on how to fix it?

you need to use popsloader to play it on a different version of pops. or upgrade to m33 3.52. i've heard it runs perfect on it.
anyway. final fantasy 7 bugs out when sleep and some other spell is cast on you. only 3.40 though
3.11 works but there is no battle swirl which doesn't bother me . and i have a question for you
when you play your game does it run like this

does it run like that except with the black border on the top too?

you need to upgrade your firmware to 3.52 M33 at least
i was having the same problem
but i upgrade and now it works fine

he doesn't have to. just use popsloader. thats what i'm doing

he should be on 3.52 m33 2 anyway
