    Default Running ISO/MP3 on PCEPv0.7

First post here so sorry for jumping quick to the help but I was wondering if anyone has english instructions for running CD based PCE games with PCEPv0.7?

In the readme, there is an example toc for DraculaX (i think) but my DraculaX only has 22 tracks (2 data and 20 mp3s). So im curious how this TOC works and if there is a utility that will create one for you?

Any info on running the ISO/mp3 games would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

I managed to get Dracula X working this morning. I'll use it as an example of how to get things going:

What you need to do first is rename all of the files with their track number:

    01.mp3
    02.iso
    03.mp3

    etc. etc.

Next you make your TOC file. You can get TOC details of most games from this site: http://necstasyman.free.fr/uk/

Here's the TOC for Dracula X:

    Code:
    Track 01 Audio 00:02:00 LBA=000000
    Track 02 Data 00:53:65 LBA=003890
    Track 03 Audio 03:11:14 LBA=014189
    Track 04 Audio 04:57:48 LBA=022173
    Track 05 Audio 06:00:67 LBA=026917
    Track 06 Audio 07:37:09 LBA=034134
    Track 07 Audio 09:00:61 LBA=040411
    Track 08 Audio 10:05:35 LBA=045260
    Track 09 Audio 13:03:60 LBA=058635
    Track 10 Audio 14:47:28 LBA=066403
    Track 11 Audio 17:28:05 LBA=078455
    Track 12 Audio 19:09:58 LBA=086083
    Track 13 Audio 21:40:18 LBA=097368
    Track 14 Audio 24:07:69 LBA=108444
    Track 15 Audio 27:47:51 LBA=124926
    Track 16 Audio 30:13:10 LBA=135835
    Track 17 Audio 33:28:56 LBA=150506
    Track 18 Audio 34:58:29 LBA=157229
    Track 19 Audio 36:40:49 LBA=164899
    Track 20 Audio 38:40:50 LBA=173900
    Track 21 Audio 42:42:12 LBA=192012
    Track 22 Data 46:58:62 LBA=211262
Name your TOC anything you want. Place the TOC, MP3s and ISOs into a directory and transfer this to your PSP.

Next when you load up PCE, select any ROM, then come back to the menu. Select the TOC file you created earlier as your CD-ROM. Your TOC file should be selected but nothing should happen. Now select the "Super CD-ROM2 System V3.00 (J)" as your ROM, press the RUN button and the game should start.

Holy crap... Rondo of Blood works on PSP?! Wow, just wow. Too amazing!

How well does it play? Speed, sound, music etc?

I've never actually played on a PC Engine in my life but I love the castlevania series so I thought I'd give this a try.

The speed is excellent and I think the sound is accurate. The music can get a little glitchy with stuttering and popping noises and it doesn't loop back to the start when it gets to the end. The graphics seem very good, although there are a few flashing sprites and things that don't look quite right. I must stress the game is very playable despite these minor problems. Save is supported as well.

I think if you give this a try you'll be very impressed with the emulator.

    Default confused

ok, so I followed your instructions and created a subfolder in the PCEngine folder called, "Dracula X". In there I have the mp3s, the two iso's, and a .cue sheet.

When I load the emulator and navigate to that folder, it won't find the cue sheet to load.

Am I creating the TOC wrong?

From what I understand, you need that info to be .toc not .cue

Open up notepad and toss this Toc info posted earlier:
    Code:
    Track 01 Audio 00:02:00 LBA=000000
    Track 02 Data 00:53:65 LBA=003890
    Track 03 Audio 03:11:14 LBA=014189
    Track 04 Audio 04:57:48 LBA=022173
    Track 05 Audio 06:00:67 LBA=026917
    Track 06 Audio 07:37:09 LBA=034134
    Track 07 Audio 09:00:61 LBA=040411
    Track 08 Audio 10:05:35 LBA=045260
    Track 09 Audio 13:03:60 LBA=058635
    Track 10 Audio 14:47:28 LBA=066403
    Track 11 Audio 17:28:05 LBA=078455
    Track 12 Audio 19:09:58 LBA=086083
    Track 13 Audio 21:40:18 LBA=097368
    Track 14 Audio 24:07:69 LBA=108444
    Track 15 Audio 27:47:51 LBA=124926
    Track 16 Audio 30:13:10 LBA=135835
    Track 17 Audio 33:28:56 LBA=150506
    Track 18 Audio 34:58:29 LBA=157229
    Track 19 Audio 36:40:49 LBA=164899
    Track 20 Audio 38:40:50 LBA=173900
    Track 21 Audio 42:42:12 LBA=192012
    Track 22 Data 46:58:62 LBA=211262
save it as dracx.toc or game.toc or whatever.toc

I dont have a large enough memstick to even play but this is what i understand.

Forget the CUE file, it's separate.

The TOC file is simply a text file with that "Code" contents posted above.
