Or when your eating, expecting you to talk back (which is just plain rude to talk whilst eating food). I'm always left far behind in conversations because I finish my mouthful before replying (I don't involve myself I somehow get dragged in), and until I do I hold a finger up (pointing to my closed mouthful) as to show my pause. Then they just continue their conversation without me, haven't they heard of manners? Obviously not, I hate rude manners! (it annoys me)
