Will this only work with Sony batteries?

    AH! It works!

I used the following under the following conditions:
    1. SanDisk 1.0 GB Pro Duo
    2. Original Sony Battery
    3. My flash0 was completely gone thanks to a stupid mistake I made while messing around with custom themes...

Don't restore the NAND if you're also missing flash0...just hit X when the menu comes up and downgrade...works one hundred percent!

I used this tutorial posted on maxconsole or psphacks, I forget specifically...

Thank you so much for all your work everyone!

Fantastically awesome news. Definitely one of the biggest things to ever happen in the history of the PSP. Congratulations, Team C&D!

If this will work on the slim PSPs, could you install 1.50 and custom firmware on them, perhaps?
It uses a smaller battery, though. We can only wait and see.
