Default J.K possibly copied a character

i was reading a book called Redwall written by Brian Jacques and first published in 1986 and found a charcter called Wormtail and thougth that J.K might have borrowed it for the Harry Potter books. Just post your thoughts on this cause i want to see what others think.

Er, probably not man. Wormtail seems like a pretty easy name to come up with, especially for a rat. And, they're not exactly close in character...

    But yeah, Redwall owns.

Heck, it's possible. I've read more Redwall books than Harry Potter anyway, so I would go with Redwall on this one.

Not likely, so if what your saying is that if someone for example was called Christopher in one book by one writer another writer has copied the character by using the name? It makes no sense?

well in Redwall the line says Wormtail has lost a paw. In harry potter wormtail is missing a finger. if she didnt copy its a bit of a coincedence dont you think.
