I recently got myself a PS3 and would like to develop for it are there any tutorials on prgramming for it also I saw there is a PS3 Lua Player is the programming on that similar to the PSP

Well! Hackers are still trying to run explots to bypass the firmwares security which has been achived in earlier firmwares!

I think the best way at the moment is to program within linux installed on the ps3 hdd.

also i was not aware about an Lua player for ps3?!

You can run Linux on the PS3, so yeah. You can code in Linux.
