your should be able to report any seller that is selling illegal items or free software (like selling free-ware for profit) under copyright, not to mention it circumvents (as ebay would put it) copy protection on the PSP by reinstalling 1.50 on it

I couldn't find an option about "selling free software", so I just reported him for "selling information on how to circumvents copyright protection" or something.

Hopefully he takes it down, or it gets taken down.

indeed, this will always happen... I mean unpatched gta lcs and lumines prices were way beyond unreasonable... Fanjita even mentioned it in one of his blogs "the morality of downgrading" Noobz, C+D, as well as all other coders are undoubtedly discouraged by lame happenings such as these. But they seem to be getting past all the bs and continuing with great releases like this one.

im not surprised about this, but really they are greedy bitches but this is a capitalist's nation so the only ones who should be ashamed is the ignorant people who buy this.

As with anything people should know how to research something before they buy it. $400 for that battery when a psp costs less than $200, whoever buys it should get bitch slapped-- many times...

I admit, reading it at first I was furious.. but reading a bit. I must say.. It can be understandable
If you're one of few in your area, you've learnt about homebrew and you hear news your psp can be unbricked, you would -have- to buy it, right? think about it, you've not really got anyone to speak to. So a sensible price would be fair enough, I do agree that credit should be given to the brilliant teams that brought us this!

Those that know me in the real world, they know I'm sort of "the guy" to ask about homebrew for the PSP. I admit I don't know much about the physical coding aspects, but when it comes to simple curiousity such as "will this brick me psp?" "how can I do this?" with homebrew related things, I can give them a answer. In my sig you might notice a count of downgraded psps. This is people who trust me to do this. But think. if I wasn't there. would all those people have their psp's custom firmwared? My friend that really got me interested in the scene didn't know about it until I showed him (back when downgrading 2.00 was a major accomplishment!)

I'm gonna stop writing now or I'll just end up ranting in an endless loop

Well they're selling the batteries for so much because they say the buyer can start an unbricking service with them. But unfortunately, this is the only option for a lot of people because not everyone knows someone with a homebrew capable PSP. Tomorrow or sometimes soon I'm probably gonna convert my old PSP battery to a Pandora battery in case I'm in a position like this.

I don't see what's so terrible about it. If there are people too lazy to learn and buying something like this opens the door to homebrew, so be it.

However, the way I would do it is charge a little extra and set aside a certain portion of the sale to donate to the team responsible for the software to make the battery.

Thanks for thinking im an idiot guys for being one of the first to buy it. But seriously i wouldn't of found this auction item if n00bz never posted the free download on the site to spark curiosity. I already had a argument with the guys and maxconsole and my reply was thusly:

Well obviously you do and i donts like the cut of your gib. Considering you dont know my situation and impatience. I posted another message on your forums explaining. Not that you would understand as your most likely a 16 year old jobs worth who is a supervisor at pcworld and like to spend his time on ebay annoying people telling them they could get stuff for free but in order to make the parts you would need to have a working fairly expensive component (in this case a psp).

But for you only my precious here is how my purchase went:

    1. Psp bricked
    2. n00bz post a message about diy jigkick battery mod
    3. cant afford to buy a cfw or 1.5 psp to make it
    4. cant afford to buy a pre cfw motherboard to make it
    5. Got no soldering skills for a UP
    5. Can afford £40 to get a battery on ebay before i go on holiday to get my psp working again for the plane.

Never jump to a conclusion and if your not happy then sell your own batteries on ebay with a £1 profit margin to put him out of business.

    Your sexy sex god. Boyblitz

So there you go im not an idiot the reason i found this auction was because i knew the software was released for free but required a working psp. His doing me a service and at the moment its expensive but its also supply and demand. Know what i mean.

Oh and guys he is selling a battery, not the software he is only linking to it. So technically in ebays eyes he is selling a battery and nothing more.
