hey Art, the idea of this app is great ... I mean u wanna add more stuff like an interface or sth., right? But how about leaving this "basic" screen and making a PRX out of it so u'll have a Plug-In for the XMB? I mean that'd be kinda funny ... having a lill heart at the lower left corner, telling u sth. about ur pulse, etc. ... maybe u leave sound in or u kame it possible to switch it on/off ... so if a nice woman walks by ... beep ......... beep ........ beep ..... beep ..... beep ... beep ... beep . beep . beep . beep . beep . beep beepbeepbeepbeep

    realy cool thing!

back on track, I can see this going into the Time Baby program
    once I'm satisfied with it.

The current debug screen app can become the sensor test program.
I think its a good idea to add it to Time Baby. You already have it set up for hiking and other outdoor activities.

Also, I think it would be a good idea to make it into an exercising/jogging program. Sure the PSP is a little big to be hauling around, but it might be worth it if it could track your heart rate over the course of your jog and make graphs and such. You could possibly even get it to interface with MapThis! and you could plot on a map where your heart rate increases and decreases, while tracking with the USB GPS. Just sew a small hip pack type case with a soft clear plastic window and allow for the GPS to point towards the sky (maybe on your back). That is something that people might pay a lot of money to do with a standalone item that you could do rather cheaply with a PSP.

Just an idea. I kinda wish I had one of those heart rate things you have. Looks fun. How much are those?

^^ Sounds like you've been keeping up with my stuff.
The Sunset time monitor feature in Time Baby, and a speaking heart rate monitor are two things
I want to happen at the same time while I'm climbing a mountain. Then also the mp3 player I suppose.

Other than for testing (where I have a bit of fun),
I can't justify running this on a PSP by itself, when I'd rather be running one of the Time Baby features.
But if it can run at the same time then definately yes.

I don't think you can really buy the adapter, only make it.
The easiest way I can think of getting a pre wound coil is by destroying a small speaker out of a transistor radio.
Which is why I don't see an XMB prx out of it.

I'd love it if someone commercialy produced this for the PSP:
    http://rick.mollprojects.com/hrm/index.html
Then it would be wireless again.
I could locate the Maxim component and make one,
but it doesn't exactly help anyone else.

Here is version 2 of the program which has super high
    resolution beats per minute display.
I would have really loved this when I was training,
    and then I didn't own a HRM

I might get to producing a few sensors and flogging them off on eBay
when the program is better developed.

Wasn't YouTube vid a few hundred screenshots?

The new graphic version is almost ready, so there's no
real reason to continue witht he debug screen app.
