Dont worrie! If it does brick (it wont 0.0001% chance of brick), then just drag your pspbtcnf.bin (copy) version into your KN folder in flash0
Always make backups of your flash before flashing anything!
I found that in readme
Please note:
The patcher will validate your existing pspbtcnf.bin file and make
sure it's a correct copy before applying the patch. It will also add
a small file called irspatch.prx to your flash. There are some
safety measures built in. The patcher shouldn't be able to brick a
PSP. However, as with all free software, use it at your own risk.
how can I make sure that pspbtcnf file is correct?

If you have a full backup go ahead,
You will have "pspbtcnf.bin" in your KN folder
thanks for the quick reply and sorry to bother you again, but i searched the kn folder and i have a file called pspbtcnf.txt (and not .bin)??
Ok your PC isn showing extentions,
For winXP
Click My Computer,
Click Tools,
Then Folder Options
Then click the View tab
Untick "Hide extentions for unknown files"
Then apply,
For Vista
Open Computer
On the top left click Organise
Folder and Search Options
Then View tab
Untick "Hide extentions for unknown files"
Once you have done that ^^
This will show the extention as in ".bin .bat .txt blah blah" and your pspbtcnf file should be named pspbtcnf.bin
