Default QUERY: non-PSP USB cables & memory sticks

Am just wondering. I got a Samsung memory stick called "MMCmicro". Am wondering whether this is compatible with PSP? Also, I got a USB cable from my old Sony MiniDisc Walkman which has USB one end, and the smaller plug at the other end. Will this work for PSP? Has anyone tried using a non-PSP memory stick & non-PSP USB cable and they were working?

Usb cables are all the same, as long as they have the one type of end that your mini disk player has, im guessing it is, because i had two mini disk players, and they both used it.

memory card- no nope no way, it has to be a memorystick pro duo, it can be from different manufacturers but not a different type of card.
