I dunno how the hell DSmasterPlus won as it got very very little votes. DSOrganize won in votes. I think it was fixed. But i suppose a prize and $200 is still amazing for a free app

How didnt ToG or DSO win first? They deserved 1st and 2nd in the apps. I think the games top 3 were well earned but instead of way it is I think Meteora should have taken 1st followed by Whee! then Codename Hacker for 3rd.

And btw, i just noticed 3 of the top 4 DS games supported motion... coincidence?

Extra points were awarded for motion support, a lot of the games entered supported the motion cards.

I guess DSO needed to support motion for changing tracks or going forward and back in the browser if it was going to win.
Honestly, extra points for motion support sucks, the motion support could completely ruin the game or app and it still gets bonus points. Aside from votes, they should only get bonus points for usefulness, completeness, buglessness, and the like; basically things that clearly only make it better.
I was so hopeful that DSO would win, it really deserves to win considering it's possibly the most used app aside from Moonshell and with the most features, and it hasn't won a single compo yet. I feel for DragonMinded, it's been a tough few months for him and not winning when he by far had the popular vote I'm sure is discouraging him.

Don't forget DSO came 4th in the spring 2006 neoflash competition. Original apps got extra points, it would be unfair for a previous entry to have the same chance as a brand new one. These competitions are to encourage new developers, to to get older developers to re-submit their old projects.
