Hey I've heard that upcoming games and present games do need further updated versions to play such as 1.51 and 1.52 and they possibly help the system to function better. Is this true? Know antyhing!? Please post!

If you dont want to play homebrew then sure, go ahead and upgrade.

But at the moment I think the only "advantage" is the ability to play UMD music discs.

Other than that the updates have been security related (plugging holes that allow homebrew to be run).
